Nissar ( Nissu Ladakhi )

The very first spark of interest for wildlife and living in nature, was sparked while growing up my village in the Himalayan landscapes. Nature & Wildlife is common where I grew up as the Himalayan range is our backdrop. Learning to identify them and living with them peacefully, was part of my childhood.

I completed a wilderness survival course, which then lead me to my passion of becoming a naturalist. Under the guiding wings of various trekkers and naturalists Birders, I was part of various bird surveys. My path then led me to the wildlife tourism sector, where I was fortunate to live and share my passion with like minded people from all over the world trekking high passes and finding Snow Leopards and Brown bears most times.

Through fellow Naturalists I’ve been fortunate to see in-depth of the Central Indian Jungles of Kanha where I spent my Winters and back to Ladakh for my Summers with Brown bears and a few treks and hikes.

Every being has consciousness and hence every being is sacred to me. Sensing into life all around me, aiming to gain deeper understanding of life, is my true passion.

I feel best as every day in nature is a new adventure which I love to embrace every morning and share it with others.
